Repel-It

****Last Tub Left Order Now With 15% discount****

It is known that sweet itch can cause incredible suffering to horses. They will scratch and rub themselves raw to relive the itching, often using all their mane and lots of their tail.

Mountain and moorland breeds suffer from sweet itch due to the richer land and diet that they are on and their blood becomes hot. One very rarely sees sweet itch on native ponies running wild on their homeland, and even horses and ponies that are bred "inland" still have the genes to survive on poor pasture.

Repel-It repels the mites that bite and exacerbate the condition, and encourages hair growth on those that have rubbed themselves raw. It takes about 10 days to take effect.

Once it is in the system it can be reduced to a maintenance level. It is 100% herbal like all of our other products and does not contain any chemical insecticides. It is safe to use on all ages and in-foal mares.

Administration: 1 rounded measure twice a day in the feed for 6 days, then once a day

The herbs in this combination are known to aid the respiratory tract and to help the body to discharge mucus secretions from the bronchopulmonary passages. The herbs are nourishing to the body, thus helping to maintain strong lung walls and tone the lungs.

This formula contains Echinacea angustifolia root and Comfrey, which is well documented as one of the finest herbs for the respiratory tract; it has been used as both a tonic and a vulnerary from ancient times to the present. These two herbs combined with others, including Mullein and Garlic, are the reason for the successful results which our customers report.

Usage: 1 rounded measure in the feed twice a day. 500g tub lasts 1 horse for 4 - 6 weeks

The formula, with Passiflora and Chamomille, also includes herbs that feed and revitalise the motor nerve at the base of the skull and will also feed the spinal cord. They are classed as nervines and they have a relaxing effect without causing drowsiness or affecting performance. They contain no prohibited substances.

NoVerms

Originally marketed as Parasite Out, this parasite repellent has undergone years of trials with outstanding results. In many cases it has outperformed so called 'conventional' wormers.

It is a fact that there are herbs that are classed as vermifuge (herbal agent that will cause the expulsion of worms from the body) and there are herbs classed as vermicide(herbal agent that destroys worms within the body). This combination contains herbs that aid the body to cleanse, and demulcents to help soothe the mucous membranes, thus causing no discomfort.

It also contains herbs that help to condition, so this formula is an excellent conditioning powder as well as being an excellent parasite repellent. As it is herbal it is not hard on the system.

We are unable to describe this product as a "herbal wormer" due to guidelines laid down by the Veterinary Medical Directive (VMD). To use the word wormer it would mean that the product would have to undergo registration costings several tens of thousands of pounds.

NoVerms is the number one choice as an alternative to using chemical wormers -

NoVerms, no worms!

As an ethical company we recommend regular testing for worms. Faecal counts will provide information on most known parasites, but the only way to check for tapeworm is having a blood test. Both tests will make sure that you are adopting a good worm management programme.

Usage: 1 rounded measure twice a day in the feed for 5 days (once a day for ponies 360g tub will be sufficient for 3 horses or 6 ponies.

Having used veterinary wormers of various brands over many years, I decided to give NoVerms a try early in 2009. I run a small livery yard and have as many as 12 horses and ponies of my own in addition to 7 DIY liveries,on a 6 hectare farm. I have a policy that all animals on the property have to be wormed at the same time according to a programme.

In order to keep to my programme, all our horses and ponies were wormed with Noverms over a 5 day period in spring of this year. Some of my clients were sceptical of the effectiveness of a herbal wormer but I felt that everyone had to take part in order to monitor the effects. All the animals accepted their dose of wormer without any problems and showed no ill effects. One of the client horses tested a few weeks later showed a high worm count. This concerned me so I telephoned the Ellen Collinson team and was advised that this was normal after the first worming and that the worms in the sample would be unable to reproduce and that the count was high because the herbs had thoroughly cleared the worms out of the animal's system. To reassure my client, we then administered another course of Noverms (there is no risk in this as the herbs cannot be overdosed). A subsequent test showed no infestation.

My own yearling recently suffered severe colic which was treated in the usual way by my regular vet. She was of the opinion that he might have worms as he had been treated only with Noverms so we allowed her to take another sample for testing and guess what - Zero! Result - one sceptical vet. very surprised and now not such a sceptic!

Mare Corrective

Mare Corrective

****This product is no longer available on this website ****

A lot of behavioural problems in mares and fillies can be traced to the reproductive system. Any problems in this area can result in, among other things, pain, temper, nervous tension and a major loss of performance. The Mare Corrective Herbs can turn a 'difficult' mare or filly into a completely different individual once they are comfortable and relaxed.

This combination of herbs helps to tone and balance the entire female reproductive system. The herbs are rich in natural hormone precursors which help to maintain a good level of oestrogen: they are especially beneficial to mares that are so called 'moody mares' or difficult breeders.

Usually one course lasting 6 weeks is sufficient to iron out most problems. However, if a broodmare has been barren for several years, then a 12 - 18 week course may be necessary.

The results from the use of the Mare Corrective Herbs have been excellent, with improved fertility, long term barren mares going in foal and settling of highly strung and hormonal fillies going into training.

Usage: 1 rounded measure in the feed twice a day. 500g tub lasts one mare 4 - 6 weeks

1 Tub - £86.00
