Research has proven that, like human athletes, horses in strenuous work frequently suffer from muscle spasms or cramp, usually referred to as tying up.

This tincture helps the body to naturally release muscle spasm.

Usage: 20-30mls twice a day for 4 - 6 days and then when necessary.

For occasional precautionary use, give the same amount before strenuous work and immediately afterwards.

Special 'B' Respiratory

Veterinary research has shown that a very large number of horses (over 40%) burst or bleed into the lungs during or after strenuous exercise.

'Special B' is a combination of herbs similar to the respiratory formula but also including herbs that are known to have diuretic properties, and, in addition, herbs documented for their ability to stop haemorrhage. (There are different herbs which specifically treat haemorrhage in different parts of the body). The herbs in this formula are also naturally high in calcium.

Usage: 1 rounded measure in the feed twice a day. 500g tub sufficient for 1 horse for 4 - 6 weeks

This combination is similar to the Relaxer Herbs, but due to being in tincture form it works faster so is more suitable for horses that are calm at home but get excited when competing

Respiratory Herbs

The herbs in this combination are known to aid the respiratory tract and to help the body to discharge mucus secretions from the bronchopulmonary passages. The herbs are nourishing to the body, thus helping to maintain strong lung walls and tone the lungs.

This formula contains Echinacea angustifolia root and Comfrey, which is well documented as one of the finest herbs for the respiratory tract; it has been used as both a tonic and a vulnerary from ancient times to the present. These two herbs combined with others, including Mullein and Garlic, are the reason for the successful results which our customers report.
